The online giant amazon to create 2,000 jobs in the UK added to their work force to almost 30,000. This shows confidents in the British economy, with last year’s figures of 2,500 UK job’s added by Amazon 5,000 in 2017 when it opened a new head office. Doug Gurr, UK country manager, said, Amazon will continue to invest in its British business.
Gurr Said: 'The UK is a fantastic hub for global talent and the exciting, innovative work that takes place here benefits Amazon's customers around the world.' It is creating roles for engineers, software developers, data scientists and cloud and machine learning experts.
Amazon reached out to smaller online firms giving them a helping hand to grow their business by opening pop up stores, however, this came with a back fire due to concerns that its low tax bill gives it the upper hand over stores hit by hefty business rates bills and rents. Amazon pays just £63million in business rates.

I initially invested a total of $1,050,000 over a period of 5 weeks with my broker. My bonus/profit was $8,300,000, every attempt to make withdrawal failed and I was instructed to make another deposit of $250,000 before I can make withdrawals which I did. Up till now, I’m still unable to make withdrawals and all attempt to contact broker has failed. This is very pathetic and I felt so bad losing my investment. I did a due diligence test before investing with them but guess what I ended up getting burned. This is to create awareness, not everybody can be as lucky as I was. I’m saying this because I was able to recover my funds. Thanks to a recovery…
